Cerro Aconcagua is an undisputed landmark in the Andes and Argentina; It is a must see for climbers and tourists from all over the world.
This tour was conceived to enjoy unforgettable landscapes and great stories that marked these paths; we will take the necessary time to get in touch with all its corners and discover its best kept secrets.
We will head southwest on Provincial Route 86, enjoying the landscapes of Cacheuta until we cross the tunnel that connects this town with Potrerillos. We will contemplate the wonderful view of the Cordón del Plata, Mendoza’s main water source, and the picturesque Potrerillos Dam, a mirror of crystalline water between mountains.
We will continue along this path, contemplating the impressive landscape, passing through tunnels and bridges, until we reach the town of Uspallata. Again we will make a strategic stop to get a better view of the Valley as a whole.
Once back on the track, we will travel a few kilometers, until we reach the “Puente del Inca” , an iconic place of our mountain range.
Once we return to the route, the Aconcagua Provincial Park awaits us. There we will get the permits to take a walk of approximately one hour, to the viewpoint of the Laguna de los Horcones, where we can see the South Wall and the summit of the highest hill in America.
Finally, a mountain lunch awaits us at a hostel in the town of Las Cuevas, on the border with the Republic of Chile.
