Overview

Mendoza is world famous for its wine production, for the Andes mountain range and as in the rest of Argentina, the ‘Asado’  is a Sunday classic!

A tour designed for those who do not like to get up early, in which the first visit and wine tasting will be at the Bodega Benegas where we will taste their wines and enjoy their family history as pioneer winemakers in the region. Our next stop will be Foster Lorca, there they await us to delight us with a complete Argentine barbecue after touring the traditional winery in the heart of Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo.

The Must See: Did you know that the owner of Benegas winery, Federico Benegas Lynch, has a collection of ‘ponchos’ from all over Argentina over 100 years old? Yes, and many of them are at the old cellar.

Bodega Benegas is in Luján de Cuyo. It's an old winery from the 19th century; its distinctive arquitecture, with its adobe walls, cement tanks and underground cellar are ideal for the production and aging of barrels and bottles in natural conditions, keeping tradition and excellence. Begenas has two vineyards: Finca Libertad, planted by Don Tiburcio Benegas at the end of the 19th century, located in Cruz de Piedra, Maipú at 850 m.s.n.m. and Finca La Encerrada, located in Gualtallary, Uco Valley, at 1450 m.s.n.m. Both regions are among the most prestigious in Mendoza.

The winery is located in Luján de Cuyo, in the heart of the most important wine region of Mendoza. With a modern classic architectural style building and surrounded by gardens intervened with native flora; the Andes mountain range gives us an excellent view from here. We will enjoy a traditional Argentine lunch, accompanied by excellent wines that will make you live an unforgettable experience.
