Alta Vista was founded by Count Patrick d’Aulan, heir of more than 250 years of family tradition in the winemaking industry. The technical team is a multidisciplinary and bicultural one, whose members have been working together since the beginning of the project. Nominated in the category ‘New World Winery of the Year 2016’ by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
In 1888, Italian immigrants founded te winery and grew the first vineyards in Vistalba, Luján de Cuyo, province of Mendoza. Over the first decades of the last century, the winery was run by several families who succeeded in passing on the secret of fine winemaking and the love for their land.
In 1969 it is acquired by the families Nieto and Senetiner, who expand the facilities signalling the beginning of a new stage of growth and brand development. In 1998 it becomes part of the Grupo de Negocios de Molinos Río de la Plata.
Four generations of winemakers that began with the grandfathers coming from Italy. In 2002, the project of the Biondolillo’s family gave rise to Tempus Alba. With four generations behind, they focused on producing premium red wines. A distinctive t tourist proposal to know about the renowned Project of Selection of Clones of Malbec and Vineyard Mother of clones in the route of the visit to the winery.
The winery Tempus Alba is located in Maipú, riding the road to the winery is a pleasant experience. The surrounding sights are the typical landscapes of the rural areas of Mendoza, full of vineyards, olive trees, almond and cherry orchards and horticultural crops, whose shapes and colors are enhanced by the changing silhouette and colors of the Andes Mountains.
Once at the winery, the owner family will be in charge of explaining every detail of the winemaking process in a technical, but at the same time, poetical and passionate language; and finally they will seduce you at the moment of tasting their wines.
Founded in 1906, Laur was a pioneer not only in the implementation of olive trees in Mendoza but also in the olive oil industry. In 2020, it was named the 3rd most important olive oil factory in the world and the 1st one in Argentina.
