Luján de Cuyo
Luján de Cuyo
Known as the Land of Malbec, and crossed by the Mendoza River, the department of Luján de Cuyo has the largest cultivated area in the Central Mendoza region. Its vines are grown in the foothills of the mountain ranges of the Andes, more than 850 meters above sea level. It offers a temperate climate that is ideal for the correct ripening of the grapes. Wineries: Nieto Senetiner, Luigi Bosca, Lagarde, Vistalba, Viamonte, Clos de Chacras.
Maipú
Maipú
In this region with the richest history of wine in Argentina, proudly bears the name of Cradle of Wine, for having been chosen by the first European immigrants to cultivate the vines and to elaborate wine. With altitudes between 600 and 750 meters, very deep soils, sandy and clay, scarce rainfall and a good temperature range; combined with long vegetative cycle strains and human hands, result in an excellent terroir. In this region, we will also find many olive plantations and oil mills that produce oil of the highest quality. Wineries: Domiciano, Trivento, Trapiche, Tempus Alba, SinFín, Bodegas Lopez.
