Finca Decero was so named because it loads the family love with the wines to a land that was desolate and started "from scratch". In the 70s, Adda, Thomas Schmidheiny’s mother was inspired by the vineyards of Napa to found a small family winery. Twenty years after Mendoza won the heart and spirit of Thomas, who came from across the Andes from Chile.

Starting "from scratch" was exactly what Thomas Schmidheiny dreamed to do. A winery of international quality, free of traditions and captive passion for making wine. It was in the valley of Agrelo, known for producing high quality red wines, where Thomas instinctively knew he had found the place to continue his family legacy and create wines that truly express their origin.
