FLICHMAN WINERY

Flichman Winery

The history begins in 1872 in the Barrancas zone of Maipú where they planted their first vines. In 1910 the Flichman family reintroduced the winery with the name Finca Flichman. Sami Flichman, pioneer and visionary, developed the first vines in a hollow down by the Mendoza river a long, long time ago. In 1998 the company was acquired by a leading Portuguese wine group called Sogrape (belonging to the Guedes family), well known for their presence in the international markets.

The original winery, surrounded by its own vineyards, was preserved, restored, amplified and filled with the highest and best technology. With 950 hectors of land, the grapes come from 310 hectors planted with noble varieties. Their vines extend in two different regions of Mendoza: Barrancas, at 700 meters above sea level , and the privileged land of Tupungato, at 1,100 meters above sea level. With the expansion of the vineyards, the incorporation of the latest generation, and the constant capacity of their people, Finca Flichman has achieved the creation of high-quality wines and a different personality that without a doubt guarantees a place of privilege in the evolution of wines in the New World.
